Twinkle Twinkle

On sunday Zoe made her debut singing at church. She was very excited to be singing a duet with Mommy. We practiced in the car on the way to church and then we practiced with the microphone at church. She did an amazing job. She got many complements and she wants to start learning a new song so she can sing again. We are very proud of her and she is proud of herself.

Turn up the sound to listen.

Wanting to walk

Max so wants to walk and we can tell he wants to. On Friday night he did a pretty good job of walking through the grass. A little wobbly, but he was so proud of himself. He then practiced some more on saturday when he went to the pool for the first time. That was fun as well and he splashed lots. Enjoy the video, there is no sound.

Daddy night

Well Jen had a meeting the other night so I was left with Zoe and Max. It turned out to be such a nice evening that we spent most of it in the back yard. I got out the picnic blanket and Zoe got out some of her toys and we made an evening of it.

Zoo

On Saturday we headed to the zoo for a fun-filled day we saw the baby elephant, finally, rode the carousel and had a picnic. Overall a very good day with a few little moments of being cranky, but what can be expected with a 3 year old and a 7-month old. We used our new stroller and it worked really good. Max was fascinated with the tag hanging from the cover. And Zoe took a few photos with her camera as well. Enjoy the photos.

Max & Zoe's week

Max had a very accomplishing week, he is becoming more of his own little person every day.

"This week I started holding my own bottle, but if I'm really tired I don't like to hold it. I can sit up all on my own. I'm still a little wobbly and fall over, but I'm pretty good at this sitting up thing. I just have to have someone sit me up because I can't get there on my own yet. And the biggest one that everyone has been waiting for, I got my first tooth to come through. It hurt a little bit, but I survived. I'm starting to work on number 2 cutting through, it is almost there."

Zoe had a fun weekend and has become the little photographer. She is following after her daddy's footsteps. We'll post some of her photos soon. The benefit of having digital cameras, she can take lots of pictures and we can keep the funny ones, the good ones and delete the really bad ones. She has lots of fun taking pictures, so you could be next.

Don't forget to wish Scott a Happy Birthday on Wednesday.

New favorite word

Max has a new favorite word or probably more like a favorite sound. It sort of goes like this "Dadadadadadadadadadadadadada". He discovered this on Memorial day and he hasn't stopped since, really he hasn't stopped talking. I think he is trying to out do his sister since she is talking all the time. I've even asked her if she stops talking and she tells me no. He was quite proud of his new "word". Now we just have to work on "Mamamamamamamamamamama".

That is a picture of one of my favorite toys. I play with him while everyone else is eating, and now I also talk to them as well.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

Lots of fun exciting things happened this weekend, the most fun revolved around that Aunt Stephanie came to visit and stayed overnight. On Sunday evening we took a trip down to Graeter's Ice Cream. Aunt Stephanie got to pull Zoe in her wagon this time and Zoe was excited that she got to have 3 different flavors of ice cream this time instead of 2.

Max loved Aunt Stephanie. He just couldn't stop smiling at her. Yes, Scott and I are chopped liver whenever Aunt Stephanie is over. I guess it could be worse. It gives us a little break as well.

On Memorial Day Zoe, Steph and I went out to do a little shopping and left the boys at home. And that afternoon we ran and jumped through the sprinkler. Zoe is the only person I know that uses an umbrella in the sprinkler. It was really cold and I still can't believe I actually stuck my head in a sprinkler when I was kid.

And then for a little time to calm down and blow bubbles, lots of bubbles. And Zoe had to put on some of her new clothes. And once again Max just loves Aunt Stephanie.

I'd say we had a pretty good weekend at Weaverville.
